Development strategy of the NSC “Institute of Agriculture NAAS” (for the period 2021-2030)

NSC “Institute of Agriculture NAAS” is the main scientific institution in Ukraine for agriculture, development of adaptive and landscape systems of agriculture based on stabilization of land use, preservation and increase of fertility of grounds, maintenance of ecological balance in agro-ecosystems, development of the latest adaptive technologies for the production of competitive products of agricultural crops and their selection and seed production, measures of effective use of innovations and investments in agriculture – the basic branch of agricultural production in the Forest-Steppe and Polissia zone of Ukraine.

The strategy of the development of the NSC “Institute of Agriculture NAAS” in terms of priority directions and types of scientific and economic activity is as follows:

– scientific support for the formation of state policy in the field of agriculture, coordination of scientific research on the development of highly productive, adaptive landscape ecologically safe farming systems for the modern and future development of agriculture and its adaptation to the requirements of the European Union. Development of the main directions of innovative development in the field of agriculture on the basis of own research and generalized data of domestic and world science;

– scientific support for sustainable land use and land management, rational use of land resources based on the improvement of reasonably protective, environmental protection, adaptive landscape farming systems; improvement of adaptive agricultural technologies for growing agricultural crops; improvement of breeding methods and creation of new highly productive plant varieties and hybrids, organization of seed production; chemical-analytical studies in agriculture and crop production, methodological and scientific-methodical support for monitoring the use of land in cultivation, aimed at increasing the competitiveness of agricultural production and ensuring the food security of the state;

– preservation of important ecosystem and other functions of grounds, as well as support of a neutral level of degradation of the country’s ground cover, provision of an effective system and protection of grounds from degradation and desertification within the framework of the Ukrainian Grounded Partnership under the auspices of the FAO with the coordination of the efforts of the state, science, business, and the public, international organizations and the development of Ukraine’s participation in ensuring global food security;

 

– scientific and industrial relations based on the optimization of management functions and their adaptation to the requirements of the European Union at various levels of management structures of the agro-industrial complex, the formation of reference points, research fields and other structures with the aim of introducing effective scientific developments into production for their rational use in conditions. territorial and self-governing administration, development of public-private partnership, cooperative management and cluster forms of regional cooperation, expansion of participation of public organizations in the formation and implementation of state agrarian policy;

– training of highly qualified scientific personnel at the third educational-scientific and scientific levels; qualifications of scientific personnel of the research network, promotion of managers and specialists of agricultural formations, improvement of natural and ecological education of various strata of the population;

– production and sale of original, elite and reproductive seed materials of agricultural crops;

– provision of services for scientific support of agro-industrial production, which include scientific consultations, expertise, state tests on biological evaluation of plant protection products and agrochemicals on agricultural crops, analysis of plant material for the presence of genetically modified components, identification of genes using DNA markers, conducting land management and land assessment works, agrochemical certification of lands, development of technological projects and regulatory and technical documentation provided for by the current legislation of Ukraine;

– development of draft laws, regulations, industry standards, programs, etc. within the scope of competence;

– conducting business activities that ensure the receipt of special funds in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.
